鈥淲hen I鈥檓 not working, you鈥檒l likely find me spending quality time with my family, playing with my golden retriever, hitting the gym or catching up on some much-needed rest.鈥�

鈥淧eople may be surprised to learn that I was a highly competitive gymnast in my youth. I was an Elite Qualifier, Junior Olympic National champion on the floor exercise and Junior Olympic National team member. I earned an athletic scholarship to Auburn University, a Division I NCAA team. I became an Academic All-American and was named as the Southeastern Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year.鈥�

She looks up to her parents. 

鈥淢y parents have always been my biggest role models. They are charming, charismatic, hardworking, loving and intelligent.鈥� 

The mantra she lives by: 

鈥淭he best advice I鈥檝e ever received can be summed up by the saying, 鈥榃here there鈥檚 a will, there鈥檚 a way.鈥� With enough passion and hard work, there鈥檚 a solution to most any challenge.鈥� 

Science class inspired her medical career. 

鈥淚 have always loved science. I realized that one of the best ways to use this passion to benefit humanity is through patient care, which led me to pursue a career in medicine.鈥� 

Helping patients regain vision is deeply satisfying.

鈥淧erforming cataract surgery is the most rewarding part of my job. It allows us to permanently restore vision with excellent outcomes and safety standards. I love seeing the joy on my patients鈥� faces when they realize how well they can see.鈥�

Her patients inspire her daily.
